Igor Vidor nasceu em 1985, São Paulo.
Vive e trabalha em Berlim.
Igor Vidor explora mecanismos de poder e opressão através de suas esculturas, performances e vídeos. Seus trabalhos apresentam sinais de violência e injustiça social profundamente enraizadas no cotidiano. O artista reflete como estas condições se repetem, perpetuando símbolos de violência que acabam ganhando novos significados. Permite-nos refletir sobre como este atrito contribui para um cenário de intermitente e aparentemente insolúvel violência que encontra ecos e recorrência na história do Brasil.
Seu trabalho tem sido apresentado em inúmeras exposições no Brasil e internacionais como Alemanha, Japão, Coreia, Bulgária, Suíça e EUA. Em 2016, ele foi o primeiro brasileiro convidado a participar do Programa de Intercâmbio Internacional pelo Museu Nacional de Arte Moderna e Contemporânea de Seul - MMCA.
Em 2019 deixa o Brasil, através da Iniciativa Martin Roth, após ameaças de morte por milicianos no estado do Rio de Janeiro.

He lives and works in Berlin.
Igor Vidor explores mechanisms of power and oppression through his sculptures, performances, and videos. His works convey signs of violence and social injustice deeply rooted in everyday life. The artist reflects how these conditions repeat themselves, perpetuating symbols of violence that end up taking on new meanings. He allows us to reflect on how this friction contributes to a scenario of intermittent and seemingly insoluble violence that finds echoes and recurrence in the history of Brazil. His work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions in Brazil, Germany and the USA. In 2016, he was the first Brazilian invited to participate in the International Exchange Program by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul - MMCA. In 2019 he left Brazil, through the Martin Roth Initiative, after repeated death threats by paramilitary forces in the country.
