O balão foi extraído de uma das primeiras edições de quadrinhos do Batman. O excerto apresenta brevemente o momento anterior quando o milionário herdeiro encontrou a solução para "combater" os criminosos. Ao chão se encontra um guarda-chuva quebrado, que se assemelha ao formato de um morcego.
Creio que a rápida descoberta do personagem se traduz numa ideia superficial do bem e do mal e se estabelece como um cânone na violência praticada. Mesmo o herói milionário torna-se um fora-da-lei e até agora a cidade de Gotham continua a ser a mesma após 80 anos da primeira edição. Se toda a mitologia do herói descreve os traumas que fazem dele um vigilante, devemos também perguntar-nos o que faz com que alguém se torne um "vilão"? Esta mesma dicotomia imposta pelo vigilantismo encontra eco nas práticas de violência por parte da população e da polícia no Brasil.

 

As bases do vigilantismo não foram criadas do nada, pelo contrario, e como muitos outros mitos, é apenas romantizado na contemporaneidade. O punitivismo é estrutura primeira na formação da sociedade brasileira.

Em Indigoterie (1667), Jean Baptiste du Tertre mostra o vigia no meio da imagem, nos podemos ver ele mantem a divisão e o andamento do trabalho escravo sob sua vigilância. O oficial é o símbolo da punição corporal, mas é o único em descanso, apenas seus olhos trabalham. Imaginem se o removêssemos do centro da imagem?

The excerpt briefly presents the previous moment when the heir millionaire found the solution to "fight" criminals. On the floor is a broken umbrella, which resembles the shape of a bat. I believe that the rapid discovery of the character translates into a superficial idea of good and evil and establishes itself as a canon in the violence practiced. Even the millionaire hero becomes an outlaw and so far the city of Gotham remains the same after 80 years of the first edition. If all the mythology of the hero describes the traumas that make him vigilant, we must also ask ourselves what makes someone become a "villain"? This same dichotomy imposed by vigilantism finds an echo in the practices of violence by the population and the police in Brazil.

 

The foundations of Vigilantism were not created out of anything, on the contrary, and like many myths, it is only romanticized in contemporaneity.  Punitivism is a primary structure in the formation of Brazilian society.
